My experience includes working with those who suffer from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. My philosophy is based on building a therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist. I offer a non-judgemental, person-centredtherapy aiming to identify your strengths and focus on solutions. Whether it is work stress, relationship issues, or challenging life circumstances, it is normal to seek advice and support. I will give you the tools to overcome your issues by highlighting your strengths and skills, through psychological insight. We can work together to help improve your wellbeing. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field working with individuals, young people, students, couples and families. Your wellness is priceless, so it is vital to ‘invest in you’ to improve your state of mind and outlook on life.
My clients often describe themselves as expatriates, immigrants and third culture individuals. I can identify with all three of these as I grew up with immigrant parents who moved to the U.S. from Mexico. I seemed to have followed in their footsteps and moved to other countries before settling down in the U.K., for now. I work with multicultural populations providing therapy worldwide in the military community, medical staff across England and international students at U.K. universities.
Clients often ask how I am different from other mental health professionals. In addition to our counselling sessions, you will be supported between sessions with follow-up emails that provide you with tailored resources based on your session topics. You will have the opportunity to submit questions, journals or check-in emails as well. I dedicate at least 90 minutes of time to my clients per week. 50 minute session time, 10 minutes of progress notes and 30 min tailoring resources specific to your session topics and finally, time corresponding to your messages and reviewing submitted material from you .

Loss, Grief & Bereavement Support Centre for Better Health provides therapeutic support groups. Starting in April, this 8-week support group will encompass different forms of loss including partners, parents, children, friends, siblings, pets and other significant loved ones. You don’t have to grieve alone during this painful time. In this group, you can come and spend some time learning, sharing, and healing with others going through similar experiences. The group aims to provide a safe and confidential space for participants to share, listen, and discuss their personal stories. This group will provide a space to talk but will also ask participants to engage through wellbeing activities done in between sessions such as journals, creative activities and other reflective exercises.
